Too Much Offense

I read a news story about a singing act that was arrested for singing Kung-fu Fighting.
Some Asian-Americans were walking by the place he was performing and became offended at the words.
I read the words of the song and, to me, there are no racial slurs and no derogatory terms about Asian’s.
It does say something about “funky China men from funky Chinatown” but that was kind of the language of the 70’s, since the original artist was an African-American.
The singer was arrested and charged with hate speech.
I think being offended has gone way too far.
I agree that there are certain terms that are hurtful but now people are beginning to just find anything to be offended over so they can get in the news or something.
Look how offended society has become against Christianity, calling it an intolerant religion.
That thought fulfills scripture; For they stumbled at that stumbling stone. As it is written: “Behold, I lay in Zion a stumbling stone and rock of offense,
And whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.” Rom 9:32-33
Jesus will offend many!
Holiness always offends sinfulness!
I offend many when I quote scripture.
Such is the word of God; …piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we must give account. Heb 4:12-13
