No Ads With God

Linda and I took a pre-32nd Anniversary trip on Friday and Saturday.
On the way home there was a billboard advertisement for a motel.
The billboard made the motel seem like some type of Shangri-la.
The wording was dreamy and much romanticized.
The problem is I know the place and it’s not paradise.
It’s not the type of place I’d want to stay or recommend to anyone else.
Advertisements are like that.
You’re constantly bombarded by such exaggerated commercialization.
You can hear that one type of laundry detergent is ten times better at making whiter whites and brighter colors than any other brand.
You’re promised that this will save money and that will last longer.
Healthy, delicious, economical, time saving, quick and easy are all buzz-words that saturate advertising.
It’s difficult to know who to trust.
The bottom line is they all want your business.
However God speaks the truth and His word is the truth.
It is written if we confess our sins , He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9
No hype, just a promise from God.
As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us. Ps 103:12
No commercialization, just the truth from God.
God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away. Rev 21:4
No “new and improved”, just God’s word.
You can trust God!
He doesn’t have to romanticize or make improvements to the salvation the He has to offer you.
And you don’t have to sell yourself to Him.
God says to you, “I have loved you with an everlasting love.” Jer 31:3
Accept what God has to offer! It’s the best deal you’ll ever get!

  1. I’ve just spent the last several minutes explaining a bad situation to someone ending with the face that Tracy is now out of the picture. She was a buffer. I started to feel bad for all the other people involved & that Tracy is gone. Sooo, your word today has been timely and much appreciated. thank you brother
