‘For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh’? So then, they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let not man separate. Matt 19:5-6
Today is our 32nd anniversary!
Even after 32 years of marriage I learn some new things about Linda.
First and foremost, she has a ministry different from mine but very complimentary.
I may be a pastor/teacher but she is prayer intercessor/counselor.
She is often contacted for prayer; she is positive and encouraging in her words of wisdom.
Recently it was told her that someone said, “If I’m ever sick, you call Linda Swanson.”
Our ministries complement each other.
She is what I am not; I am what she is not.
I am not ashamed of her.
She supports, honors, and respects me.
She gives me counsel and prays for me.
She prays for our children and continues to give them instruction.
She is the virtuous wife of Proverbs 31.
Strength and honor are her clothing; she shall rejoice in time to come. She opens her mouth with wisdom, and on her tongue is the law of kindness. She watches over the ways of her household, and does not eat the bread of idleness. Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: Prov 31:25-28
I am most blessed to be ½ of this partnership of marriage with her!
God made the right choice for me!
a very happy anniversary to you both.

Not everone has that blessed reality in marrage. Although we know the WAY to achive & maintain such it takes reconitation and agreement of both partners. Some just don’t know what they are missing.
