There is another case of Anger in the scripture; this one deals with King David.
The Ark had not been in Israel’s possession for several years and the time came to bring it home.
He mounted a huge force to secure its rightful return.
They loaded the Ark on a cart pulled by a couple of oxen and off they went.
Along the way the oxen stumbled, and Uzzah put out his hand to steady the Ark of God. Then the LORD’s anger blazed out against Uzzah for doing this, and God struck him dead beside the Ark of God. David was angry because the LORD’s anger had blazed out against Uzzah. 2 Sam 6:6-8 NLT
David met Anger on the road back to Jerusalem.
Anger tempted David and told him that God was a mean God.
Anger told David that what he was doing was good and righteous; that he was doing this for the Lord.
Anger told David, “You better be wary of God or He’ll kill you too!”
David was now afraid of the LORD and asked, “How can I ever bring the Ark of the LORD back into my care?” 2 Sam 6:9 NLT
But Anger lied to David and misled him.
This was not God’s fault; it was David’s.
The Law clearly says the LORD separated the tribe of Levi to bear the ark of the covenant. Deut 10:8
And You shall put the poles into the rings on the sides of the ark , that the ark may be carried by them. Ex 25:14
The Ark was to be carried by Levites using poles.
Ignorance of God’s will give Anger an excuse to rail against God.
I hear many express their anger toward God for something He was suppose to do but didn’t; or for doing something He shouldn’t.
Of course that’s according to what THEY think and not necessarily what God thinks.
Anger loves to lie about what God says, so read God’s word so Anger can never tell you something different about it.
