Read The 66!

The works of the LORD are great, studied by all who have pleasure in them. Ps 111:2
I’m not much on reading books.
I try, I really do, but my eyes stutter when I read; sort of jumping around on the page.
Nila, one of my co-workers, ended up with a book called 10 Things Jesus Did Not Say.
I had to pick it up and scan the index to see what those 10 things were.
The last chapter intrigued me with its title That Is Your Cross To Bear.
I thumbed over to the chapter and scanned it; up and down, back and forth.
I got the gist of it though.
I put the book down and told Nila I would have time to read that book when I finished the other 66 books that I am currently reading.
I don’t know if I’ll ever get through with them though; I’ve been reading the same 66 books since 1975.
Prior to that time I heard many talks on what other had read in the same 66 books.
Of course, you’re bound to know that I’m speaking of the Bible.
I may know many things from the 66 but I want to know more; to know it all, if I can.
So I continue to read, study, and meditate on the 66 books of the Bible, God’s Holy Word of truth.
I hope that these daily Morning Thoughts will encourage you to read and read and read the 66!
