Is It I?

Did I not choose you, the twelve, and one of you is a devil? John 6:70
Imagine for a moment that you are one of the twelve disciples and hear this statement.
You couldn’t help but wonder if He’s talking about you.
Sure, you don’t want to think that it’s you but sometime later it’s Passover and as you’re eating, Jesus says, “Assuredly, I say to you, one of you will betray Me.”
And they were exceedingly sorrowful, and each of them began to say to Him, “Lord, is it I?” Matt 26:21-22
Remember it was Peter that said he would never deny Jesus but would die with Him.
But deny Him is exactly what he did.
Peter’s problem was he took his eyes and heart off of Jesus and place his thoughts on what would happen to himself.
Judas’ problem was he never took his thoughts off of himself.
Where do you keep your heart and thoughts?
Is it on the Lord or is it on yourself?
As a Christian you never think it possible that you’d deny the Lord or turn your back on Him.
As long as you keep your heart in His heart, you won’t!

  1. It sounds easy enough. It’s not! It requires laying down our emagination, reconizing off colored thoughts and deny them space in your mind. The best way to accomplish this is to do what God says…THINK ON THESE, whatever is honest, just, pure, lovey, virtueous Philp.4:8 By the time the brain as been searched for a virtueous event…we have the victory!
