Great Disaster – Rapture

I’m taking a look at disasters and the first one I want to take a look at is the event known as the rapture.
Most don’t consider this day anything but a blessing; the day in which the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. 1 Thess 4:16-17
Sure, I’m one of those looking forward to that day but what happens if I’m driving to work?
My truck will be unmanned and probably not slowly come to a halt.
It will crash into the ditch, into a tree, into a building, or maybe another vehicle.
What about planes, trains, and ships?
With billions of people missing there will be huge losses in the medical industry, civil services, military, law enforcement, supermarkets, deliveries, and on and on!
Then the panic sets in about missing people; children, the elderly, moms, and dads.
It sounds like a major disaster to me.
Technicians that are manning the electrical power plants, mail delivery, and media like TV and radio will all be disrupted.
We’re literally looking at a disaster of Biblical proportions against the economy, social services, medical, industrial; every facet of life.
As with so many other disasters, mankind will rise up and overcome; but will it last?
More next time!

  1. My wondering about those left behind takes me to a place I don’t want to go. So far my son has not received Christ. According to the Bible there are those who will not submit to evil, perverted ways. I hope they will repent of their unbelief. I do see where lies are being given considersation as to our begining and end. So many people don’t want the truth. Father God comes over & over to every person born giving them an oppertunity to receive Christ. It’s their choise. And yes they will quickly over come the lose of all those missing people.
