iKnow…iDid

Apple founder, Steve Jobs has died.
This is an individual that was driven by perfection to give you a simple, one-button product that didn’t need an instruction manual.
I have an iPhone and enjoy its features from texting and making phone calls to posting on Facebook or listening to audio books.
You may not have an Apple product but, no doubt, many of the items you do have are affected by the work of Steve Jobs.
Now you may never have heard of him; honestly, I didn’t really know anything about him until he decided to leave the company because of his battle with cancer.
He has left his mark on the world but is it an everlasting mark.
Let’s just take a look at the iPhone, which was first released in June 2007.
This year the iPhone 5 was announced.
It is upgrade and improvement but there is no perfection.
If perfection existed in the iPhone there would never, ever be a need for an upgrade or a new one.
As soon as someone comes up with something better the iPhone will fade into history.
Contrast that with what Jesus has done.
Hebrews says the priest sacrificed for the people then for himself every day.
But Jesus did this once for all when he sacrificed himself on the cross. Heb 7:27 NLT
Once for all time he took blood into that Most Holy Place, but not the blood of goats and calves. He took his own blood, and with it he secured our salvation forever. Heb 9:12 NLT
And what God wants is for us to be made holy by the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ once for all time. Heb 10:10 NLT
The key phrase is “once for all”; it means there is no need for an upgrade.
There is no need for Salvation 2.5.3 or the new Salvation 7X.
The salvation that Jesus offers is enough and it is sufficient.
And He did it the first time with no do-overs!
Upgrade your life to the first release of iSalvation through Jesus Christ.
It will change your iLife forever.
