A sigh of relief!
It’s over!
I think I’ll enjoy the weekend!
For all of us at KSWP and KAVX, I’m talking about Sharathon; it ended yesterday evening around 630pm.
Months ago planning began for all of us on staff; promos before, during and after; equipment, ordering phone lines, calling volunteers, getting food, sending letters; each person had a ton to do.
But now it’s over and today I have a few post-promos to make and to store all of the equipment used and my part is done.
It will continue for a few weeks for some others as letters are sent and some donations roll in and are accounted for.
It really can be a stressful time for those behind the scenes.
If you listen to either station all you’ll hear is regular programming interrupted for 3 days as appeals for support are made and then it’s back to regular programming.
That’s what it looks like outside the bubble.
It makes me think of how I perceive Christ.
To me He came, He died, He resurrected, and sat down at the right hand of God. Heb 10:12
To me, that’s it.
However, the Bible reveals it is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us. Rom 8:34
Why the interceding?
Because of Satan, the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night. Rev 12:10
It’s not like the Savior can just lie back and relax.
Satan doesn’t quit and Jesus isn’t going to quit.
That means it’s not over; I can’t quit. Just because I accepted Jesus as Savior, am forgiven, and have eternal life; I can’t quit!
When Jesus said go into all the world (Mark 16:15), He never concluded with sit back and relax.
