Until I get there, focus on reading the Scriptures to the church, encouraging the believers, and teaching them. 1 Tim 4:13 NLT
Last night I was reminded of an important part of my relationship with God – reading.
Sure, I read the Bible every day but last night’s Bible study reminded me of the importance of it.
On Wednesday evenings we’re looking at the Feasts of Israel, which we had studied 2 years ago.
In going over my notes I was reminded of the wonder of God’s word; how intricately intertwined it is with itself.
Reading God’s word has always been an important part of a Godly life, though in days of old it was read openly for all to hear.
Then he took the Book of the Covenant and read in the hearing of the people. And they said, “All that the LORD has said we will do, and be obedient.” Ex 24:7
Afterward he read all the words of the law, the blessings and the cursings, according to all that is written in the Book of the Law. There was not a word of all that Moses had commanded which Joshua did not read before all the assembly of Israel, with the women, the little ones, and the strangers who were living among them. Josh 8:34-35
Then the king sent and gathered all the elders of Judah and Jerusalem. The king went up to the house of the LORD, with all the men of Judah and the inhabitants of Jerusalem — the priests and the Levites, and all the people, great and small. And he read in their hearing all the words of the Book of the Covenant which had been found in the house of the LORD. 2 Chron 34:29-30
Then he read from it in the open square that was in front of the Water Gate from morning until midday, before the men and women and those who could understand; and the ears of all the people were attentive to the Book of the Law. Neh 8:3
Now you can read the life changing word in your own home, at your own pace, and in your own time.
And you can download free Bible audio to play on your computer or iPod, iPad, or iPhone.
I’ve included some links for such downloads!

I seriously almost just paid a small fortune for the Bible on CD back in July before a trip to New Mexico. I did not know about the free download. Thank you, thank you, thank you!
