How we feel about Christianity

Last time I looked at how we feel and what we think about Christmas; how it comes from songs that have no bearing on the true weather or things associated with it.
Could it be that many get an idea about Christianity just from what they hear, though it may not be Biblical?
Much of what is believed is wrong. Much of what is being said about Christians and the church is wrong; all day they twist my words. Ps 56:5
How people feel about certain social issues is largely base on how they are told to feel or a skew on what they are told the Bible says about the subject.
I have been told more than once by others that the reason they don’t go to church is “going to church doesn’t save you!”
Yes, that is true.
But then why does God’s word say husbands, love your wives, just as Christ also loved the church and gave Himself for her (Eph 5:25), or to Him be glory in the church (Eph 3:21), and He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all. Eph 1:22-23
Did He appoint apostles and teachers in the church or does it say God has appointed these in the church: first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, after that miracles, then gifts of healings, helps, administrations, varieties of tongues. 1 Cor 12:28
I agree that going to church cannot save someone but if it is of little importance then why is it mentioned so favorably in the Bible.
Perhaps those that say such things about the church are written about in 1 Cor 11:22 – Or do you despise the church of God and shame those who have nothing?
What is believed about God, the church, or doctrine can often be summed up in one word – tradition!
Jesus said that you make the word of God of no effect through your tradition which you have handed down. And many such things you do. Mark 7:13
How can we know what is the right teaching and what is unsound?
It is written, turn at my rebuke; surely I will pour out my spirit on you; I will make my words known to you. Prov 1:23
The only way to know what God has said is to repent and open our hearts and mind to the Spirit.
Don’t just take for granted what others say that God says (including me), but read it for yourself.
Remember those who rule over you, who have spoken the word of God to you, whose faith follow, considering the outcome of their conduct. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. Do not be carried about with various and strange doctrines. Heb 13:7-9
One of the best things you can do to “remember those” is to pray for those and read the word for yourself and keep “those” accountable.

  1. For one to know God intimetly they must search for themselves. We can guide, we can witness. There is just nothing like experancing God for yourself. God is not a respecter of persons, but He will met you where you are. Your needs are not always the same as anothers. EXAMPLE; I have yet to met anyone who has had the same experance with God as I did when my daughter was killed. There are many simalarities, but Father God is a personal God. He does not want anyone to be egnorant of Him & His ways (love & righteousness).

  2. There is no way you can know what God is all about without reading (or hearing) His Word. As you are studying, pray for understanding and allow God’s ways to become yours.

    Hebrews 4:12
12 For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.
