Salvation is Healing

It’s no fun being sick but I don’t have to tell you that.
Whether its cancer, the flu, a toothache, headache, or an infection in a cut on a finger, you want to be healed.
Why? So that you can feel better and do things.
In the Old Testament, God said, “If you diligently heed the voice of the LORD your God and do what is right in His sight, give ear to His commandments and keep all His statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have brought on the Egyptians. For I am the LORD who heals you.” (Jehovah-Rapha) Ex 15:26
I believe that many diseases are a result of sin; many but not all.
It is written bless the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits: Who forgives all your iniquities, Who heals all your diseases, Ps 103:2-3
Forgiveness of sin and healing of diseases are given in the same verse.
Sins like envy the rottenness of the bones. Prov 14:30
This is the reason it is so important to confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. James 5:16
So why is it someone who has been saved for years and very faithful to the Lord gets a disease.
We live in a sinful world and though someone may be saved, the result of sin still has its affect on all.
Just as through one man sin entered the world, and death through sin, and thus death spread to all men, because all sinned. Rom 5:12
Hanging onto sin can make you sick.
The road to healing is the forgiveness of sin.
As Jesus said, “Which is easier, to say to the paralytic, ‘Your sins are forgiven you,’ or to say, ‘Arise, take up your bed and walk’?” Mark 2:9
It just seems to me that doing what God has asked of us, diligently heed the voice of the LORD your God and do what is right in His sight, give ear to His commandments and keep all His statutes is healing to us.
Heal me, O Lord, and I shall be healed; Save me, and I shall be saved, For You are my praise. Jer 17:14
Salvation is healing!

  1. When we trust our God, that is the Son of God, with whatever the infirmity is He’ll trun it around & use it for His glory and our good. The infirmities that touch me take to places I would otherwise not go. There I testify of Christ boldly. I have not seen results, perhaps not untill I am with Jesus will I know. I only know that my God is worthy to be praised no matter where I am or what’s going on inside of me.
