Trash the karma!

Now perhaps there are some Christians that believe in some lite-version of karma; maybe we’ll call it karmalite.
Remember that karma is the belief that if you do something evil, then you will get evil in return; and if you do good, you’ll get good in return.
So what good can anyone do?
It is written there is none who does good, no, not one. Rom 3:12
It also says we are all like an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are like filthy rags; Isa 64:6
Jesus said, “Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’” Matt 7:22-23
It would seem that doing things in Christ’s name would be a good thing; that prophesying, exorcizing demons, and doing wonders would be good.
When it comes down to it, Jesus said, “He makes His sun rise on the evil and on the good, and sends rain on the just and on the unjust.” Matt 5:45
So karma doesn’t exist when it comes to suntans and spring rains; it happens to the just and unjust.
Many Christians are trying to work for salvation or favor with God. It can’t be done.
God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God. Salvation is not a reward for the good things we have done, so none of us can boast about it. Eph 2:8-9
You will be judged according to what is written in 2 Cor 5:10 – For we must all stand before Christ to be judged. We will each receive whatever we deserve for the good or evil we have done in this earthly body.
Though it says god or evil done in this earthly body, the good does not exist according to what God has said about none being righteous.
The righteousness of the Christian does not come from him but from God; therefore, as through one man’s offense judgment came to all men, resulting in condemnation, even so through one Man’s righteous act the free gift came to all men, resulting in justification of life. For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so also by one Man’s obedience many will be made righteous. Rom 5:18-19
Our righteousness is through the righteousness of Christ given to us; it is a free gift.
It is not because of karma but Christ we are saved.
So trash the karma and let us keep keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith. Heb 12:2
