Let my teaching drop as the rain Deut 32:2
Last year was the worst drought I have seen in all my life.
It was the driest and the hottest that I ever remember.
Wildfires broke out all over the state; and Lake Sam Rayburn dropped and dropped to 18 feet below normal.
Gardens, spring flowers, hay production, pastureland, and forest all suffered unmercilessly. Burn bans were issued in just about all 254 counties in Texas.
But 2012 has changed things; Lake Sam Rayburn is above normal, burn bans have disappeared, pastures, gardens, and spring flowers are all flourishing.
Yet there is still a drought in the land in the hearts of people that have turned away from God’s word.
Last night, Don prayed and made reference to 2 Chronicles 7:14. Then he said, “If there are enough of us left!”
There is a drought of Christ’s righteousness, morality, ethics, and virtue.
Sometimes I’m in a drought myself; a drought of I don’t want to pray, I don’t want to study, and sometimes I don’t want to go to church. I am dry!
It’s at those times that I ask the Lord for rain, in the time of the latter rain. The Lord will make flashing clouds; He will give them showers of rain, grass in the field for everyone. Zech 10:1
I am refreshed when God sends rain into my spirit and my drought is over.
Then I can say, let my teaching drop as the rain.
Great word! Thanks
