Drought and Sin

It’s another rainy morning.
As I sit down to read my Bible, pray, and write, it is pouring down. It’s quite a stark contrast to last year.
In fact, I think we have had more rain in July than we received all of last year!
The drought was hard on us. Oppressive heat and lack of moisture dried out vegetation and brought on the worse wildfire in the state’s history. Continue reading

Refreshing Rain!

Let my teaching drop as the rain Deut 32:2
Last year was the worst drought I have seen in all my life.
It was the driest and the hottest that I ever remember.
Wildfires broke out all over the state; and Lake Sam Rayburn dropped and dropped to 18 feet below normal. Continue reading

The burn ban is on!

As you know, Texas has been in the worst drought since the 1950’s.
Nearly every county in the state has been under a burn ban for several months – until yesterday.
