The Finale

It is finale week!
Last Tuesday was the season finale of NCIS; last night was the finale of Dancing with the Stars, and tonight is the finale of American Idol.
The only thing is it’s not really over. Next season there will be another NCIS, another American Idol, and another ballroom champion!
Even some of my other show will end, like Swamp People and another will begin like Ice Road Truckers.
America’s Got Talent has started but it won’t be long before it will end too!
It’s a never ending season of endings!
I have found one ending that really ended it!
Jesus said, “It is finished!” Then he bowed his head and released his spirit. John 19:30
That was the finale for sin; it ended the sacrifices and the propitiation of Jesus for us.
Jesus will never die again and never resurrect again – it is finished!
God is satisfied with the price paid for us – it is finished!
While those things, and more, may be finished, we have not reached the finale!
Prophesy will be fulfilled in these end times. All that has been predicted to happen before the great and terrible Day of the Lord will be accomplished until Jesus says, “It is finished! I am the Alpha and the Omega—the Beginning and the End. To all who are thirsty I will give freely from the springs of the water of life. All who are victorious will inherit all these blessings, and I will be their God, and they will be my children. Rev 21:6-7
That’s the grand finale!

  1. Bro Tim, “all who are victorious will inherit”, what about those who have accepted Christ as personal Savior and not lived it. Or have suffered through out their lives… never having known being an “overcomer”. Revelation says several times that it’s to the overcomer inheritance will be given. Thatused to scare me enough to push through when I’ve wanted to give up, fear coupled with grace. Now, I know that I know, God alone is to be trusted for He has said He has ordered my steps & I am to walk this out. Some folks talk of being schooled in heaven. What do you think?
