Even so!

I copied this Facebook status from a friend I went to college with – “As it was in the days of Lot”… Signs of the “Falling Away” are everywhere. People are increasingly without natural affection, hurting each other, trampling the rights of others while chasing the almighty dollar. And then Obama and Biden endorse same-sex marriage and the New York court rules that merely viewing child pornography isn’t a crime. Meanwhile, creation is worshipped while the Creator is forgotten. God’s rules mean nothing, unborn children are a tumor to be removed and thrown away. But, people worship nature, the environment, animals, or anything but God! How long can a loving God stay His hand? Even so, come, Lord Jesus!
What does it all mean?
These are some of the scripture he references.
Lot; Luke 17:26-30 – “When the Son of Man returns, it will be like it was in Noah’s day. In those days, the people enjoyed banquets and parties and weddings right up to the time Noah entered his boat and the flood came and destroyed them all.
“And the world will be as it was in the days of Lot. People went about their daily business—eating and drinking, buying and selling, farming and building— until the morning Lot left Sodom. Then fire and burning sulfur rained down from heaven and destroyed them all. Yes, it will be ‘business as usual’ right up to the day when the Son of Man is revealed.
Falling away; 2 Thess 2:3-4 – Don’t be fooled by what they say. For that day will not come until there is a great rebellion (falling away) against God and the man of lawlessness is revealed—the one who brings destruction. He will exalt himself and defy everything that people call god and every object of worship. He will even sit in the temple of God, claiming that he himself is God.
Without natural affection and chasing the almighty dollar; 2 Tim 3:1-5 – in the last days there will be very difficult times. For people will love only themselves and their money. They will be boastful and proud, scoffing at God, disobedient to their parents, and ungrateful. They will consider nothing sacred. They will be unloving (without natural affection) and unforgiving; they will slander others and have no self-control. They will be cruel and hate what is good. They will betray their friends, be reckless, be puffed up with pride, and love pleasure rather than God. They will act religious, but they will reject the power that could make them godly. Stay away from people like that!
Worshiping the creation instead of the Creator; Rom 1:18-23 – But God shows his anger from heaven against all sinful, wicked people who suppress the truth by their wickedness. They know the truth about God because he has made it obvious to them. For ever since the world was created, people have seen the earth and sky. Through everything God made, they can clearly see his invisible qualities—his eternal power and divine nature. So they have no excuse for not knowing God.
Yes, they knew God, but they wouldn’t worship him as God or even give him thanks. And they began to think up foolish ideas of what God was like. As a result, their minds became dark and confused. Claiming to be wise, they instead became utter fools. And instead of worshiping the glorious, ever-living God, they worshiped idols made to look like mere people and birds and animals and reptiles.
He is coming back! Rev 22:20 – He who is the faithful witness to all these things says, “Yes, I am coming soon!”
Amen! Come, Lord Jesus!

  1. I am so thankful I have been choosen to receive the knowledge & love of the One & Only True GOD through His Son our Lord JESUS CHRIST.
So many times I catch myself wanting to say, I don’t understand why…, but I do understand. God said it would be this way before His return. His return is very near!
