Through the crowd

Jesus went with him, and all the people followed, crowding around him.
A woman in the crowd had suffered for twelve years with constant bleeding. She had suffered a great deal from many doctors, and over the years she had spent everything she had to pay them, but she had gotten no better.
In fact, she had gotten worse.
She had heard about Jesus, so she came up behind him through the crowd and touched his robe. For she thought to herself, “If I can just touch his robe, I will be healed.” Immediately the bleeding stopped, and she could feel in her body that she had been healed of her terrible condition. Mark 5:24-29
I know how this woman feels, in a sense.
I know how it feels to need to see the Savior and He’s in a crowd.
The crowd for me is not one of people but of responsibility, work, paying bills, and chores. In other words, it’s the cares of this life.
Other people face crowds of fear, the unknown future, disease, cancer, pain, and loss.
And like this woman, each of us must push through the crowd, reach out, and touch Him.
We must not be so overwhelmed by the crowd that we turn away and say, “It’s no use!”
God has promised that He will meet with us, when we push through the crowd; Come close to God, and God will come close to you. James 4:8

  1. Pushing through (self) is not easy. But it can be done. It is so very helpful to get alone (in you closet) away from distractions. Truely God, Himself, will come. And He will help you go where you could not by your self…deeper into Him. We always hear people say they want a closer walk with God, but are they willing to give up self? Jesus is worthy!
