Biblical view of Marriage

I saw a video in which someone made a sarcastic remark about the Biblical view of marriage.
What they said was, “Which view?”
Is it the one where you can marry many wives and have concubines, like Jacob, King David, or King Solomon?
Or the one from Deut 22:28-29 – If a man finds a young woman who is a virgin, who is not betrothed, and he seizes her and lies with her, and they are found out, then the man who lay with her shall give to the young woman’s father fifty shekels of silver, and she shall be his wife because he has humbled her; he shall not be permitted to divorce her all his days.
Or the one where if two brothers are living together on the same property and one of them dies without a son, his widow may not be married to anyone from outside the family. Instead, her husband’s brother should marry her and have intercourse with her to fulfill the duties of a brother-in-law. The first son she bears to him will be considered the son of the dead brother, so that his name will not be forgotten in Israel. Deut 25:5-6
Those are certainly some interesting points to make on things we don’t practice.
What is it that God really intended?
I certainly don’t want to presume to know the mind of God but what does His word say?
The religious sect in Jesus’ day also had questions concerning marriage but directed more about divorce.
“Haven’t you read the Scriptures?” Jesus replied. “They record that from the beginning ‘God made them male and female.’ Matt 19:4
An important point and one that opponents hate – God made them male and female.
Jesus continued, ‘This explains why a man leaves his father and mother and is joined to his wife, and the two are united into one.’ Since they are no longer two but one, let no one split apart what God has joined together.” Matt 19:5-6
Again the point is about man and wife and what God has joined together.
Nowhere in the Bible is a provision made for same-sex union.
Jacob, David, and Solomon had wives. They may have been multiple but they were wives.
Deuteronomy 22 mentioned a man finding a young woman who is a virgin. It does not address a man finding a young man that is a virgin and lying with him and marrying him. No, the Bible said something different about two men lying together.
The Bible made no provision for a man going into another man and raising children for his brother.
I’m sorry, I just do not see where the Biblical view of marriage is anything but a man and a woman.
Even the New Testament says wives, submit to your own husbands (Eph 5:22) and husbands, love your wives. (Eph 5:25) Nowhere does it say women submit to your own women or men love your men.
I cannot find a different view in scripture.
