Removing God

In case you missed it, the DNC removed “God” from any language in their platform. Then they added it back.
I watched the video of the vote, which took three tries, and I don’t think they had a 2/3 majority to add “God” back.
Nevertheless, the moderator said it passed and much of the crowd erupted with boo’s and jeers.
I can understand why some would not want God mentioned as a base of their other beliefs. God’s word declares the reason; Rom 1:28 – they did not like to retain God in their knowledge.
Perhaps they follow in the same path as Israel when Jeremiah said, “For they have chosen crooked paths and have forgotten the Lord their God.” Jer 3:21
Hosea prophesied much the same thing; Hos 4:6 – Since you have forgotten the laws of your God, I will forget to bless your children.
And Hos 14:1 – O Israel, return to the Lord your God, for you have stumbled because of your iniquity;
Israel began to forget about the Lord God and started following their own inclinations. Is it possible for this same trend to affect us today?
If you know my views then you know my answer is yes.
Peter reverberates this; 2 Peter 3:3-6 – Most importantly, I want to remind you that in the last days scoffers will come, mocking the truth and following their own desires. They will say, “What happened to the promise that Jesus is coming again? From before the times of our ancestors, everything has remained the same since the world was first created.”
They deliberately forget that God made the heavens by the word of his command, and he brought the earth out from the water and surrounded it with water. Then he used the water to destroy the ancient world with a mighty flood.
I am not shocked by what took place at the DNC, but I am saddened by it. And since the vote was so evenly split (to me), I am reminded of the words of our Savior, “If a house is divided against itself, that house cannot stand.” Mark 3:25

  1. The camera’s panned the crowd during the votes and showed, in particular two people who shouted boo’s when the motion passed. I heard from various sources, probably unreliable, that they were Muslims..

  2. What about the half that is believers? Same as when Israel was in the wilderness with Moses. They went through a lot, but they did get through it. Lets not grumble & complain, rather turn to God is thanksgiving.
