But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only. But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be. Then two men will be in the field: one will be taken and the other left. Two women will be grinding at the mill: one will be taken and the other left. Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming. Matt 24:36-42
Again we reach another Tishrei 1 and Yom Teruah.
Again I wait for the glorious appearing of the Lord. It may not be this Festival Day but it will happen.
There are so many Christian’s that quote one part of the above scripture saying “no man knows the day and hour”. I do not dispute it but point out that it does say day and hour. Could it be that we may know the day only? And could that day be Yom Teruah, the Feast of Trumpets?
Noah’s time period seems to hold a key to it all.
Everyone was doing their own thing and not paying attention to Noah, who spoke of the judgment to come.
Noah prepared the ark, according to the word of the Lord.
Everyone else just kept on partying.
Did Noah know when the flood would come?
Then the Lord said to Noah, “Come into the ark, you and all your household, because I have seen that you are righteous before Me in this generation.” Gen 7:1
It looks like he did because God told him he would destroy all life, hence the ark; and then told him to get into the ark before the flooding happened.
I believe that the Spirit-filled Christian will reckon the signs of the times as the Day approaches.
That we may be roused by the shout, ‘Look, the bridegroom is coming! Come out and meet him!’ Matt 25:6
When Yom Teruah arrived and the trumpet sounded, every Hebrew would leave what he/she was doing and go gather at the gate of the Temple.
Those that were not Hebrew had no understanding of what the trumpet sound meant.
So if two were in the field, a Hebrew and a non-Hebrew, then one would be taken (to the Temple) and the other would be left.
I am ready to be taken.
