Will you recognize Him?

weddingYears ago my mom married a man named Larry.
Larry had three beautiful daughters, one of which was married and had some children about the same age as ours; these were my stepsisters, stepbrother-in-law, and my step nieces.
Mom and Larry lived around Waxahacie, Texas and the children lived closer to Dallas.
We got to know each other well and spent time together every so often.
Eventually, Larry passed away and the last time I saw his children and grandchildren was at the funeral in the mid-90’s.

With the invention of Facebook we have reconnected with some of them.

The children have grown as much as my girls have and some have married and had children of their own.

Recently one of them got married and her mom posted the wedding video on Facebook. While I was watching it I seemed to recognize the minister. He looked uncannily like a Christian artist named Steven Curtis Chapman.
I stopped the video and called a coworker into the room and asked her, “Look at the minister. Doesn’t he favor Steven Curtis Chapman?”
Her response was, “well, the groom is his son, Will!”
Indeed, Jill was marrying Will Franklin and performing the ceremony was a multi-Dove award winning Christian recording artist, Steven Curtis Chapman.
I was floored.
And I was happy for them all.

There is someone else that will be seen one day; recognized by some and not by others, but soon everyone will know His name.
Behold, He is coming with clouds, and every eye will see Him, even they who pierced Him. And all the tribes of the earth will mourn because of Him. Rev 1:7

Jesus is returning and it says EVERY EYE WILL SEE HIM!
It’s amazing what can be seen with social media and television; and while those who literally pierced Him may be long dead, He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; Isa 53:5
So literally everyone that sees Him is someone that He died for or was pierced for.

Sadly so many will not be ready for the Day of His return. He will not be recognized as Savior but as Judge.
Accept Jesus today as your Messiah Savior. Or tell someone else about His love, grace, and forgiveness, which is offered to all!

  1. Everyone will see HIM and find out that it is the same Christ they refused. What disturbs me is that they who have refused HIM will be refused to enter HIS rest. They will remember the people, and the times the gospel was presented to them. I believe that will make their eternal punishment even worse. People that have power & authority over us will answer to or God. So we should be bold, fearless, and gentle as doves with people in telling them of the love God has for us. And pray for their repentance.
