I remember the first time I heard the word “agnostic”. It was a girlfriend’s dad that used it was we sat around the table. I had become a Christian and was sharing my faith.
I remember him saying, “I’m really an agnostic!” I had to ask, “What is that?”
He then told me that he didn’t really know if God exists; if He does that was fine, and if He didn’t that was fine too.

The word “agnostic” comes from the Greek word agnōstos, which means “unknown, unknowable,” and has grown to mean that someone doesn’t know if God’s exists.

Movie producer James Cameron (Titanic) was always an agnostic or, as he called it, a “cowardly atheist”, but not anymore because he has come out of the closet and now declares his atheism – a disbelief in the existence of deity.

Strange that someone in the movie industry could believe this way.

It’s like going to a movie and declaring that there wasn’t a director or producer for the film; that the actors just all got together and adlibbed dialogue, props appeared from nowhere, and the plot evolved.
Even as the movie ends and the credits roll by, it would be still be impossible to believe in the producer and director, even through the names roll by. It’s just that neither was actually seen in the movie.
Then someone in the audience declares that the movie was created by a different producer, despite the fact that a different name is on screen.

Is it so hard to believe that someone exists even though they aren’t seen?
What if the movie was based on a book by some author, who also wasn’t seen?
Many cannot believe in God because the miracles and acts in the Bible just seem too farfetched. Yet these are the same people that would get caught up in the fantasy world of a movie. They talk about the movie and make fan clubs. The Twilight series is a good example of this.

So is it so hard to believe that the universe has a Creator? The Bible gives Him credit and calls Him the author of eternal salvation to all who obey Him. Heb 5:9
The heavens proclaim the glory of God. The skies display his craftsmanship. Ps 19:1
