As the tetrad of blood moon lunar eclipses begin on Passover, April 15, 2014 and ends on Sukkoth, September 28, 2015.
Weaved into this time of the “moon into blood” are several solar eclipses.
On April 29, 2014 will be an annular eclipse with a partial on October 23rd that same year.

The 2015 cycle begins with a total solar eclipse on the first day of the first month on the Hebrew calendar, Nissan 1, March 20, 2015 with another partial eclipse on September 13th, which is the 1st day of the 7th month on the Hebrew calendar, also known as Feast of Trumpets/Yom Teruah or, more commonly, Rosh Hashanah, that is, New Year.

With the power of the Internet, you can do some studying and find that a lunar tetrad has done this sequence before – Passover-Sukkoth-Passover-Sukkoth. Every time it occurs something happens in Israel or with the Hebrew people. By the way, there are several more tetrads this century but not on God’s Holy days.

“The sun shall be turned into darkness, And the moon into blood, Before the coming of the great and awesome day of the Lord.” Joel 2:31
It seems that the total lunar and solar eclipses can fulfill what Joel prophesied. In a total solar eclipse the sun it totally dark with only the shining corona around the outline of the moon.
In an annular eclipse the outline of the moon is not quite covering the face of the sun, thus creating a ring of fire around the edge. The entire outline of the dark moon can be seen on the face of the sun.
In a partial eclipse of the sun, it appears as if a bite has been taken out of it.

Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; Matt 24:29

Joel said nothing about a tribulation but Jesus did. Joel said the sun would be turned into darkness, indicating a total solar eclipse and Jesus said the sun will be darkened and the moon will not give its light, which indicates an annular eclipse.

Jesus went on to say, “Then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.” Matt 24:30-31

Is there another eclipse that could fall at a time which has the possibility to fulfill these words?
Yes, there is one more that we should take note of and I’ll look at that next time.
