The time is at hand

solar annular

“The sun shall be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the coming of the great and awesome day of the Lord.” Joel 2:31
Immediately after the tribulation of those days the sun will be darkened, and the moon will not give its light; Matt 24:29
If these are two separate events then the eclipse(s) are two separate ones also.
One scripture says “before the coming” and the other is “after the tribulation” so I believe it is separate.
So if the tetrad and solar eclipses are the fulfillment of Joel, then what can fulfill Matthew, which continues with then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in heaven, and then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And He will send His angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together His elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. Matt 24:30-31
This gathering with a trumpet sounds very much like the rapture.

When Jesus returns I believe it will be to fulfill Yom Teruah, the Feast of Trumpets.

On September 1, 2016 there is an annular solar eclipse. This will darken the sun and the moon will not give it’s light.
Though it is not officially the Feast of Trumpets, it could be. According to the Hillel calendar it will be the end of the 19 year cycle and the calendar year should include an extra month, which would make Yom Teruah on October 3rd. This calendar year has Passover on April 23rd, which is more than a month after Spring.
It could very well fall on March 24th and still be within the Law.

Whether or not these dates will be fulfilled at this time is still unknown.
All I can tell you is you had better prepare for His return. This is a sure thing.
As the two men said when He ascended to the Father, this same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven. Acts 1:11
