Matt 26:7-9 While He was eating, a woman came in with a beautiful alabaster jar of expensive perfume and poured it over his head. The disciples were indignant when they saw this. “What a waste of money,” they said. “It could have been sold for a high price and the money given to the poor.”
There are times you will minister for the Lord and others will not know what is going on and become indignant, angry, and perhaps even defensive over what you are doing.
This woman (Mary-John 12) honored the Lord by preparing Him for His death, which was soon coming. Yet she was criticized and put down for it.
Jesus came to her rescue and assured her that she was performing and act of great honor.
Do you honor the Lord and others misunderstand it? Do they try to discourage you?
God doesn’t deal with everyone in the exact same way. Not everyone has the same gifts. Not everyone sees a manifestation of the Spirit in the exact same way.
Stand strong in what the Spirit is leading you to do!
Abba Father, give me the courage to stand strong in the face of opposition. In Jesus’ name, YES&AMEN
