Matt 13:24-25 The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field; but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went his way.
The Bible, the word of God, is good seed! It does good things for people. It grows into love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. Gal 5:22-23
The enemy has a seed to spread also. It grows into what is contrary to the good seed.
The wheat and tares were hard to distinguish from each other in the early stages of growth. Given time the wheat bears grain and the tares do not!
The Gospel is wheat but the enemy has a close look-alike (tares). But tares can never fully mimic the wheat and Satan’s gospel can never truly compare to the Gospel of Christ.
How many will be fooled by the enemy? It is the responsibility of every born-again believer to spread the good seed – the Good News, to everyone.
It’s time to weed out the tares!
Abba, I know the taste of the weeds and I know the flavor of the goodness of Your word! I only want to share more of that goodness. In Jesus’ name, YES&AMEN
