My mom is frustrated at something I take for granted. She has a computer but does not have any internet connection. She doesn’t have a smartphone. So she is not really connected to the world.
As a result she is limited to what she can do.
She told me of trying to get registered for bowling. The state bowling association usually sends her a registration packet in the mail. It did not arrive this year.
So she called the association and was informed that the registration was online.
Mom responded that she did not have internet and that all she wanted was a registration she could fill out and mail in.
She was told that she could print out the form from the website.
Again mom told her she didn’t have internet.
I’m sure it’s hard to fathom someone not having internet.
I think someone at the library is going to help her download and print out the document she needs.
It got me to thinking.
What if you couldn’t do anything without using the latest technology? I’m not just talking about the internet; I’m saying you can’t have the internet without first agreeing to use another service.
What if you couldn’t go to the doctor without this service?
You can’t collect Social Security or benefit checks without this service!
You’re not able to have a cell phone or electricity without this service!
You can’t have a driver’s license or fill up with gas without this service!
My mom wouldn’t be able to go to the library and get her registration without this service.
Would you use the service so you can have all the basic things you take for granted today?
And what is this service you must have?
It’s the mark!
He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. Rev 13:16-17
How many will willingly accept it because they can do nothing without it?
Welfare, Medicare, and Social Security benefits are denied without it.
You will lose your job without it.
You cannot pay a house or car note without it.
Medical service is denied to you or your children because you don’t have it.
You are viewed as a criminal and may act accordingly to get food, water, and medicine for yourself and your family.
People will line up to take the mark to survive life.
Jesus offers to you forgiveness, righteousness, and eternal life.
A mark to give you a temporary life cannot compare to salvation to give eternal life.
The choice is yours to make.
Make your mark – Choose Life!
