Shake the dust and leave them alone?

It seems the Bible and Christian belief is offensive! Christian prayer in school is removed but Muslim children must be allowed a time for prayer.
A woman stands her ground on what she sees as a direct violation of what the Bible says. As a result she is jailed.
An Islamic woman files suit against her employer for allegedly making her do something that is against her belief.
And the debate on same-sex relationships and marriage only flares tempers.

Sometimes it seems futile to debate and verbally fight about these things. People are always going to disagree with the Bible, because God’s word is holy, just, and true, while people are sinful, prideful, and selfish.

Jesus also ran into those that did not agree with what He had to say.
I found scripture where it seems Jesus instructs His disciples to “back off”.

Then His disciples came and said to Him, “Do You know that the Pharisees were offended when they heard this saying?”
But He answered and said, “Every plant which My heavenly Father has not planted will be uprooted. Let them alone. They are blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind leads the blind, both will fall into a ditch.” Matt 15:12-14

People offended by what Jesus said, which was the word of God! Does that sound familiar?

One translation says, “So ignore them” in the place of “let them alone!”

I don’t like to debate. I will explain what the Bible says and leave it at that. Debating only makes brick walls thicker.
You and I are not the wall breakers – God is!

Speak the Gospel and spread the Good News but don’t argue about it.
Pray for others and speak God’s blessing of salvation and understanding to come upon them, but don’t debate about it.
And what should you do if someone absolutely refuses to hear the word of God?

And whoever will not receive you nor hear you, when you depart from there, shake off the dust under your feet as a testimony against them. Assuredly, I say to you, it will be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment than for that city! Mark 6:11
