Today is another four letter word. This one seems impossible to do and yet God commands it in the life of all born-again believers.

For a bishop must be blameless, as a steward of God, not self-willed, not quick-tempered, not given to wine, not violent, not greedy for money, but hospitable, a lover of what is good, sober-minded, just, holy, self-controlled, holding fast the faithful word as he has been taught, that he may be able, by sound doctrine, both to exhort and convict those who contradict. Titus 1:7-9

This is probably one of the more difficult things to do. Holy seems to be a word that is reserved just for Almighty God.

Merriam-Webster defines holy as exalted or worthy of complete devotion as one perfect in goodness and righteousness.

For you to be holy means you must give your complete devotion to Him that is holy.

You shall therefore be holy, for I am holy. Lev 11:45

But as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct, because it is written, “Be holy, for I am holy.” 1 Peter 1:15-16

God desires for you to be holy because He is holy. He wants your full devotion to Him. A Christian should be devoted to God in all conduct. You don’t leave your Christianity at church on Monday morning. Take it with you to work or school. Carry it to the store.
You have died to sin and you are alive in Him to bring the fruit of holiness.
