Hard work and ruin.

My grandfather worked hard doing a job he hated because it had good benefits and retirement. He did live to build a house in East Texas, retire, move in, and live there for 25 years.
This homestead was on 90 acres and his hard work continued in retirement as he raised cattle, cut and baled hay, bushogged, cut firewood, and grew a garden every year.
He was no stranger to hard work.

He was born in the early part of the last century – a time much different than today. He did not feel any one owed him anything other than what he had worked for.

Today it is hard to get people to work. Many feel they are owed something just because they were born.
I know a man that was fired from Walmart because he was consistently late to work. He actually blamed Walmart for his dismissal – not himself!
If you’re like me you may think congressmen and senators do very little and are paid very much. Their healthcare and retirement benefits are far different than what my grandfather had.
The government has continued to spend more than it takes in. Taxing hard working American’s and giving much of it away to those that don’t work.
During my lifetime the National Debt has gone from $300 Billion to $19 Trillion!

I don’t believe this nation can continue operating with such poor management skills.
The Bible believes the same thing.
He who is slothful in his work is a brother to him who is a great destroyer. Prov 18:9
