The news is full of bathroom policies! This morning the Texas Lt. Governor is asking for the Superintendent of the Ft. Worth ISD to resign over his policy of allowing students to go into the restroom of the gender they identify with. Not only that but I would assume locker rooms and shower areas.

There aren’t too many teenage boys that would love to take a peek into the girl’s locker room. I have heard stories of peep holes the boys would use to peer into those areas. Now the superintendent has opened the door for a guy to just say he identifies as a girl and waltz right on in.

Identifying as something you are not is not new.
Jesus actually addressed the issue of those that identified as a Christian.

Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?’ And then I will declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!’ Matt 7:22-23

They are saying, “Lord, We should be allowed into heaven because we identify ourselves as Christian!”
But Jesus rejects that argument and all Christian’s and people with common sense should reject what is happening today!

You cannot simply identify yourself as a Christian. You cannot say, “I belong to a church” or “I was baptized.”
It is a change of life that begins in the heart by putting all your faith in Jesus and living for His glory.
It is being filled with His Spirit and following His lead.
There will be no identify crisis when you stand before God.
