Imitate me, just as I also imitate Christ. 1 Cor 11:1

I’m sure you have drank a grape soda or taken medicine that was cherry flavored.
I don’t know who came up with these flavors but the grape in the soda or the cherry in the medicine tastes nothing like the real fruit. It’s an imitation.

Admittedly, I like a grape or peach soda and have no real problem with its flavor. It can be quite refreshing.

On a similar note, Paul desired for the Corinthians to imitate him as he followed Christ. Paul wasn’t the real thing but he did reflect the love and grace of Christ. He was a pretty good imitation.

Your duty today is to imitate Christ.
