But I have a few things against you, because you have there those who hold the doctrine of Balaam, who taught Balak to put a stumbling block before the children of Israel, to eat things sacrificed to idols, and to commit sexual immorality. Rev 2:14
Be careful what you allow in your church. Not everyone that says, “Lord, Lord” has the Holy Spirit. They may not have repented or accepted Christ as Savior.
There are agents of Satan working to destroy churches through different means like the spirit of Jezebel or the doctrine of Balaam.
They want to speak in church under the premise of Godly knowledge, revelation, or a testimony. If you listen closely you will not hear them speak of glorifying God but it’s all a spotlight on “me” – look what I’ve done and listen to what I said.
They speak of crude things perhaps from a past life before they “found” Christ. They quote scripture cruelly twisted out of context. They talk and talk to monopolize the conversation. It’s all about them.
Like Balaam, they are only interested in what they can get out of it. Balaam gained monetarily, while these deceivers are only interested in five minutes of fame taking the credit from God. If they can get approval of everyone and a pat on the back, then they can move on to getting more, like money or assistance.
Shut them down. Keep your church and yourself safe. It won’t take much. Even a donkey can do it! (Numbers 22)
