Grace Wins every Time

We believe that through the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ we shall be saved in the same manner as they. Acts 15:11

Trouble brewed in the early church – a dispute over salvation including the keeping of the Law of Moses.
It seemed a foreign idea to the Jews to think that sinful Gentiles that never followed their Torah could be included in God’s great plan of salvation.
But Gentiles were included.
Peter testified how he was the first to go against the Law and visit the home of a Gentile and share the Gospel.

I guess it seemed unfair to the Jews, for these “foreigners” to just be included without all the rituals they had followed all their lives.
So the believing Jews tried to change church doctrine saying, “It is necessary to circumcise them, and to command them to keep the law of Moses.” Acts 15:5

The apostolic leadership and elders disagreed, “why do you test God by putting a yoke on the neck of the disciples which neither our fathers nor we were able to bear?” Acts 15:10

Peter gave a final word that God’s grace is sufficient for the Gentiles as it is for Jews.

There is nothing you can ever do to please God enough so that He would just look at you and say, “You’re a really great person. I’m letting you into heaven to be with me!”
It is only by His grace that any of us enter into His presence.

His grace wins every time.

  1. I saw a clip where Trump took communion & he blessed those around himself. Earlier I read where he had accepted Christ. It will take grace flowing into that high office to get it cleaned up. The new president will need to be that conduit. With our country divided between Light & darkness I see it as in the days of Moses with disobedient Israel. Remember how so many died for not listening to their leader? !
