Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good testimony. Heb 11:1-2
Your faith determines your reputation.
As a born-again believer you have faith by your testimony of proclaiming Jesus as Savior. It cannot end there.
You must move beyond believing faith to living faith.
Although reputations do come from what you say, more often your actions build it.
You can say, “I am a Christian” but others want to see it carried out in your actions.
As James said, “Be doers of the word, and not hearers only.” James 1:22
Your reputation reflects not only on you, but your church, your business, and, more importantly, your Savior.
When others hear you cuss it gives them ammunition to talk about your church, business, or faith.
Do people not want to visit your church because of you?
Does your business suffer because of you?
Then your reputation precedes you!
When you live by faith you end up living a life pleasing to God. People take notice of it. This is why I cringe when someone says to me, “I don’t care what people think about me. I’m not here to please people! I live my own life!”
Christian’s can never say those words. Your life is not your own. Your reputation belongs to Christ!
