Now when Daniel knew that the writing was signed, he went home. And in his upper room, with his windows open toward Jerusalem, he knelt down on his knees three times that day, and prayed and gave thanks before his God, as was his custom since early days. Dan 6:10
A new law revoked any religious freedom of the region. It became against the law to pray to the Lord God or an idol.
The king would receive all worship and prayerful petitions.
From his first day in Babylon, Daniel knelt at his window and prayed three times a day.
Even as this new law condemned him to death for doing so – he knelt and he prayed. He did not pray in secret but with the windows open as usual.
You know the rest of the story of his miraculous deliverance from a lion’s den. God was with Daniel.
No matter what comes against you – pray.
Do not let the laws of men prevent you from serving God.
The law may go against you but if God is for us, who can be against us? Rom 8:31
Stand in your ability to pray and in these harsh times it becomes more necessary to pray!
Your prayer changes everything around you. More importantly, prayer changes you!
The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. Elijah was a man with a nature like ours, and he prayed earnestly that it would not rain; and it did not rain on the land for three years and six months. And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth produced its fruit. James 5:16-18
Never stop praying!
