And you shall count seven sabbaths of years for yourself, seven times seven years; and the time of the seven sabbaths of years shall be to you forty-nine years. Then you shall cause the trumpet of the Jubilee to sound on the tenth day of the seventh month; on the Day of Atonement you shall make the trumpet to sound throughout all your land. And you shall consecrate the fiftieth year, and proclaim liberty throughout all the land to all its inhabitants. It shall be a Jubilee for you; Lev 25:8-10
An alignment of this type took place four times over the past 1000 years – 1827, 1483, 1293, and 1056.
So what could make this one different?
Some say it is a Year of Jubilee, set up by God in Leviticus as a time of celebration, liberty, consecration, and a return of possessions.
Why are some claiming this is a Year of Jubilee?
They are subtracting fifty years from the year 2017 and arriving at 1967, the year Israeli forces retook Jerusalem in the Six Day War.
Of course, I heard the same logic used in 1998, that it was a Year of Jubilee. Traveling back fifty years leads you to 1948, the year Israel became a nation.
So there is quite a lot of conjecture, theory, and guess work on the end times.
If indeed this is the Year of Jubilee, it does not begin until September 30th, which is the Day of Atonement.
Will anything significant happen September 23rd? Probably not. It is best to not to predict times and dates but always be ready for the return of Jesus, which will happen someday.
