Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect. Luke 12:40
I ended with that scripture last time and I want reiterate something I believe based on it and a few others.
Jesus makes is crystal clear His return is during an unexpected hour.
In Matt 24:36 He said, “But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only.”
To me it’s the hour that is the mystery.
The mystery of the day find fulfillment in something Jesus said – Do not think that I came to destroy the Law or the Prophets. I did not come to destroy but to fulfill. For assuredly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law till all is fulfilled. Matt 5:17-18
He fulfilled Passover by his sacrifice at the Lamb of God. His death and quick burial fulfills the Feast of Unleavened bread as the Bread of Life. His resurrection fulfilled the Feast of Firstfruits and the outpouring of the Holy Spirit fulfilled Pentecost.
Each of these Feasts happen on specific days.
Each day of the month is determined by the observance of the New Moon to start the New Month.
Only one Feast falls on the day of the New Moon (New Month) and that is the Feast of Trumpets (Yom Teruah).
Tradition is for two witnesses to search for the New Moon from a high point above Jerusalem. When both see the new crescent moon at the time of sundown, the High Priest gets word and proclaims the new month.
The day of Yom Teurah is known – the 1st of Tishrei, but when it takes place – the exact hour is unknown.
I believe this Feast day is the next one Jesus fulfills. The day is known but no one knows the day AND hour. He is coming at an hour you do not expect.
