And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. But rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. Matt 10:28
I do not make light of this tragedy in Las Vegas. It is a terrible shame when someone has some twisted desire to take life.
Families and friends had their lives changed in a single moment as they enjoyed a concert.
As I watched the news one tearful individual spoke about his attempts to help someone that, unfortunately, died in his arms.
This kind of behavior has always been around. This murderous individual is not unique and should receive no kind of recognition.
Yet the struggle between life and death will continue. In my lifetime I have witnessed an increase in fatal incidents like this one in Las Vegas.
To those bent on destruction it does not matter if you are in school, in a park, a concert, a political rally, or a post office.
But Jesus’ words give me comfort. I live each day with the knowledge that if it’s my last I go to face Someone that gives me life.
And my eternal life in Christ is something no one can ever take away.
If only everyone would stop the killing, end the destruction, and embrace life.
