Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. 1 Cor 6:18
Every day the news reports about someone with allegations of sexual misconduct. These allegations are costing the men accused their jobs and families. They lose their credibility.
First, what happened to the idea that a person is innocent until proven guilty?
It seems you are automatically guilty if it involves sexual misconduct.
One woman said a man asked for her phone number and she is accusing him of misconduct.
If that’s the case, I’m guilty. So is the pizza place in town; they always ask for my phone number.
I am not trying to dismiss these accusations. Many are true and one celebrity chef admits his behavioral problem.
I do not think it is misconduct for a single man to ask a single woman out for a date. That’s how some relationships start. That’s how Linda and I started.
I remember meeting her in October/November and slipping a necklace into her mailbox on Christmas.
According to today’s ideas, she could say my advances toward her and the unwarranted gift offended her.
For those men (and women) guilty of misconduct, you only hurt yourself. The Bible declares you sin against your own body.
Honor and manners need to return to our society. Treat others with respect.
