Look forward!

…but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead, Phil 3:13

As I got up this morning and checked out few things on Facebook, I saw a few things from last year – mostly in some of the attitudes and actions of those I see.
The great thing about Fb is the ability to travel back in time over a year or two (or five) and see what others were doing back then.
So I trolled a bit through some of the past years.
I wasn’t surprised and I clearly saw a pattern. Some people continue to fight the same battles or struggle with the same things year after year.
I wonder if they tire of it.
It seems the New Year does not bring them a new life or new hope.
Truly, only God gives us new!
Paul tells us in Philippians that he was forgetting things of the past and moving forward, pressing toward the goal for the prize of the upward call of God in Christ Jesus. Phil 3:14
If things do not change for you from day-to-day, then you are stuck – that includes being in Christ. Don’t get stuck in a Christian rut!
God’s word encourages you to GROW in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. 2 Peter 3:18
As the old song says, “Everyday with Jesus is sweeter than the day before.”

  1. Most of the time God speaks so softly it’s easy to miss. Over the last three weeks I’ve watched Him heal a wound on my leg, a very painful one. And yes with a doctors help after all don’t they have a calling too. I believe everyone does even thought they may not realize it. Father God seems to prefer that soft – quite voice. I hear it a lot when I’m read the Word and when I’m praising Him.
