Memorable Scripture: The Lord’s Anointed

Now it happened afterward that David’s heart troubled him because he had cut Saul’s robe. And he said to his men, “The Lord forbid that I should do this thing to my master, the Lord’s anointed, to stretch out my hand against him, seeing he is the anointed of the Lord.” 1 Samuel 24:5-6

Saul was determined to kill David and tried several times.
Now David has the opportunity to kill Saul. He got close enough to cut off a piece of Saul’s robe.
David’s men tried to convince him to kill Saul but David would not.
In fact, cutting the robe convicted David citing that Saul was the Lord’s anointed.

If David is a man after God’s own heart, then I should do no less than he.
I have often been critical of some ministers, especially those on TV.
When I was a Baptist minister, I was critical of other churches and their doctrinal beliefs.
Today I am less so.
I am not called to attack others. I am called to preach the Gospel.
There is no need in presenting the errors of others. I need only to present the truth of God’s word.
