Memorable Scripture: The King has the last word.

Then Jonathan answered and said to Adonijah, “No! Our lord King David has made Solomon king. 1 Kings 1:43

Adonijah is the younger brother of Absalom and as King David grew old, he assumed he would become king.
The day came when he publicly proclaimed it and had a following.
But the king has the last word and David made Solomon, the son of Bathsheba, king.
Adonijah thought his path was the logical one and, had he continued, it would probably cost him his life. He did back off.

It is written, there is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death. Prov 14:12
Many people have their own thoughts and belief in God, religion, salvation, and eternal life. Much of what I’ve heard others say has no basis in God’s word. One individual actually told me that he and God would sit down, have a beer, and talk everything over and that everything would end up okay for him.
You cannot dictate to God your thoughts and ideas on salvation.
The King has the last word!
The King gave His word to us so we can know what is expected.
We don’t have to guess or speculate – if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. Rom 10:9-10
The King has the last word.
