Memorable Scripture: Don’t envy the neighbor.

Ecclesiastes 4:4
Again, I saw that for all toil and every skillful work a man is envied by his neighbor.
This also is vanity and grasping for the wind.

It’s easy to become envious of others.
You see your neighbor or coworker with a new car or going on a nice vacation and it’s easy to get a bit envious.
It’s vanity to long after the life of another person.
And I guarantee someone is envious of something you own or do.
Perhaps your neighbor longs for a wonderful marriage like you or well-behaved children like yours.

Truly, I am a witness of someone that owns many nice things but I know there is no fruitful relationship in their home.

There is no need in becoming jealous over what others own. Fretting because you don’t have it does not improve your life one bit.
It only stresses you out when you worry about how to attain the same things others have.
Indeed, you should work hard and earn for yourself. Bless the Lord with your labor and receive the blessing from the Lord.

Jesus said, “Do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy and where thieves break in and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust destroys and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” Matt 6:19-21
