Jeremiah 8:20
“The harvest is past,
The summer is ended,
And we are not saved!”
This verse always makes me sad.
It shows so much finality.
Jesus said a couple of things about harvest and summer.
Matt 9:37-The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few.
Mark 13:28-Now learn this parable from the fig tree: When its branch has already become tender and puts forth leaves, you know that summer is near.
Both deal with the importance of seizing the moment, knowing the end is coming.
Today is February 26th. It is a winter day but the days continue to grow longer and warmer.
In no time everyone will plant their gardens.
Then harvest time appears just as quick.
Where has time gone for so many that are not saved?
You and I are the laborers to go into the harvest.
Let’s go before summer is over.
Harvest time continues.
