Lamentations 3:22-23
Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed,
Because His compassions fail not.
They are new every morning;
Great is Your faithfulness.

To my own disappointment, I skip the final chapters of Jeremiah and get into the third chapter of his second book before a scripture sticks out in my memory.
It just shows I have not studied as much as I should.
I’m sure God is grieved at my lack of study and many other things I’ve done.
But I find comfort in these verses today knowing He is merciful, compassionate, and faithful.
As I read through these portions of the books, a hunger welled up inside me to read, study, and know more – to find out what I’ve been missing.
I’m sure there are many other scriptures ahead of me that I won’t remember.
Praise God for His mercy.
