Matthew 13:3
“Behold, a sower went out to sow.”
This is one of the more well known parables of Jesus describing what happens to the sown seed when it falls in different types of locations.
The meaning of the parable is given in the verses that follow.
When you or I talk to someone about God, we are sowing a seed. The person we speak to will receive it, reject it, take it, or leave it.
I do not mean to change any meaning here, but everyone is a sower of some sort. Some sow good things and others sow bad.
What you do today sows into someone else and leaves a lasting seed of impression.
If you have a cussing fit that sows a seed.
Turn around tomorrow and try to tell someone about Jesus and answer to prayer and that seed gets choked out by the cussing seed planted earlier.
Now add to it all the words of Paul – whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. Gal 6:7
What will you sow today?
