Luke 1:26-27
Now in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent by God to a city of Galilee named Nazareth, to a virgin betrothed to a man whose name was Joseph, of the house of David. The virgin’s name was Mary.

Most everyone recognizes the names of Joseph and Mary.
This was God’s choice of the couple to raise His Son.
There were other virgins and other descendants of David but God chose Joseph and Mary, although Joseph is out of the loop in the beginning.
Like Zacharias, Mary is skeptical and with good reason.
Things like this just don’t happen or only happened in days gone by.
That is, until God makes it happen.
Mary’s final words in response to the news says it all, “Let it be to me according to your word.” Luke 1:38
Our words should echo hers. We should allow God to use us in His way, no matter how odd, strange, or unreasonable it may sound.
