Luke 2:7
And she brought forth her firstborn Son, and wrapped Him in swaddling cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.
This is another very memorable scripture known by most.
I can remember blaming the inn keeper for the unsanitary place where for Mary to give birth.
Since that time I come to realize it was not the inn keepers fault. The Father planned all the events leading up to and into the birth of Jesus.
As for the place of His birth, He came in a lowly state. He would later proclaim Himself as the Good Shepherd and what better place for His birth than a manger made for sheep.
John the baptizer would proclaim Him as the Lamb of God. There is no better place for the birth of God’s Lamb than in a manger made for lambs.
It’s not really important where you are born or where you die. What is important is how you live and what you do between the two.
